Where in Winthrop does the ferry depart/arrive?

        ANSWER:  The Winthrop Ferry departs the Winthrop Town Pier,
                            707 Shirley Street, Winthrop, MA  02152

Where does the Winthrop Ferry go to?

        ANSWER:  The Winthrop Ferry goes to Rowes Wharf in Boston. And on weekends, it also goes to Spectacle Island.

How long is the trip from/to Winthrop to/from Boston?

        ANSWER:  Trip time is 25 minutes each way.

What is name of the Ferry?

        ANSWER:  M/V Anna.

What does the Ferry look like?

        ANSWER:

How many passangers does the Ferry M/V Anna hold?

        ANSWER:  The M/V Anna's capacity is 149 passengers.

Where can I park and does it cost me to do so?

        ANSWER:  There is FREE parking at the Town Landing right
                            where the ferry departs from; the Town Landing parking lot's capacity is 156 cars.

Is Winthrop's Ferry M/V Anna run through MBTA?

        ANSWER:  No.  This is a contract between the Town of Winthrop and Boston Harbor Cruises.

Can I bring a bike on with me on the Ferry?

        ANSWER:  Yes, a pedal bicycle only (human foot powered bikes)

Can I drive my car onto the ferry?

        ANSWER:  No, this is not a ferry that carries cars (motor vehicles).

Are pets allowed on the ferry with their passenger owners?  

        ANSWER:  Pets are allowed on the ferry provided they are in a pet carrier or leashed.

Does the M/V Anna have Wi-Fi?

        ANSWER:  There is no Wi-Fi on the Anna.

Does the M/V Anna have food and beverage available for passengers to purchase?

        ANSWER:  Our gallery offers a terrific selection of snacks, such as pastries, pretzels,
                            popcorn and chips, nutritional bars, candies, nuts and cereals.  
                            There's also a wide menu of fruit juices, teas, sports drinks, and other beverages,
                            including beer and wine (only served with proper id and shown to server).

Are there bathrooms for patrons on M/V Anna?

        ANSWER:   Yes, there is one restroom in the main cabin.

Does M/V Anna set sail rain or shine, or is it weather dependant?

        ANSWER:  M/V Anna is in operation RAIN or SHINE.

Is it in M/V Anna's future that she will be in operation for Winthrop on weekends?

        ANSWER:  
Starting for the 2011 Season = YES for July and August only -- may be continued due to ridership level demand.

Is it in M/V Anna's future that she will have a different night schedule for those patrons that want to go into Boston for dinner, a show, etc and may be taking the ferry back after 8PM or so?

        ANSWER:  
Starting for the 2011 Season = YES on Saturdays it will depart Rowes Wharf at 10PM and Sundays 8PM.

Is it in M/V Anna's future that she will be able to offer a full schedule, more days and times?

        ANSWER:  
Starting for the 2011 Season = YES -- this is an increased schedule from last year and may be continued due to ridership level demand.
