You are subscribed to Callahan Tunnel Rehabilitation Project Updates from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.
Thank you for your interest in the Callahan Tunnel Rehabilitation Project. This important project will create much-needed improvements to a very important piece of our infrastructure.
Area travelers should prepare themselves for delays and congestion while the tunnel is being
rehabilitated, particularly during the 75-day closure of the tunnel, which begins on December 27th of this year.
The project team is rehabilitating the tunnel in the quickest and most cost-effective manner possible. To learn about the project, including the construction approach, visit www.mass.gov/massdot/CallahanTunnelRehab. We’ve also attached a fact sheet that covers the project basics. You can find this fact sheet along with printable versions in Chinese, Portuguese and Spanish on our webpage. Detour route maps will be posted to the webpage in mid-November. For those of you who have websites and would like an easy way to point your website visitors to project information, we’ve attached a graphic that can be used as a button for this purpose. Please link to www.mass.gov/massdot/CallahanTunnelRehab. We hope you will take the time to tell your family, friends and business partners about this project.
