What would Winthrop do with a check for $50,000 or a feature on ReadersDigest.com? Readers Digest wants to know what makes our town special — and what it needs to make it even better — for a chance to win funding and support for important projects.

Last year the We Hear You America program helped 110 towns raise money for new playgrounds, to help youth programs, restore historic buildings and other projects. Starting November 16, 2011, through March 1, 2012, the voting begins again, and this year WINTHROP could be a winner.

Our town even has its own page to keep track of how the voting is going. Log on to www.ReadersDigest.com/America to see it and cast a vote. While you are there we also hope you will tell us what makes our town the best in America. Editors will be featuring the best towns and stories each week.
