Happy New Year from the Town of Winthrop Parks Committee! In 2013 we are looking forward to completing our first major renovation, Pico Park.  The new playground equipment and finishing touches to the street hockey court and the basketball half court should be completed in the Spring of 2013. Memorial bricks are being sold which will be placed near the playground. If you are interested having your family’s name on a fundraising brick please contact the Parks Committee for an order form at WinthropParks@gmail.com. The bricks may include your family name, the names of your parents, children, or even pets! Both 4”x 8” and 8”x 8” are available with a discount for multiple bricks. The brick fundraiser will be ongoing as the Parks Committee looks forward to completing necessary and overdue renovations to all the neighborhood parks in Winthrop. Show your support for your neighborhood park by purchasing a brick today!
