We need to hear from you!
The town of Winthrop and MGH are working together to conduct a community-wide health assessment. If you are a resident of Winthrop or you work in Winthrop, please take about 10 minutes of your time to answer the following questions. Please note, the answers you provide are anonymous.  This means personal identifiers are not linked to your answers in any way.
Over the next two months, we will be talking to residents and collecting data through surveys and meetings. In the spring this data will be reviewed at a community forum where residents will have a chance to help prioritize issues and develop a plan to address them. A final report detailing this plan will be shared with the community in September.
To complete the survey, go to:
and click on the red link for Quality of Life Survey

Thank you in advance for completing the survey and doing your part to make Winthrop a better place to live!

Winthrop Playmakers Present
The Eight: Reindeer Monologues, An Adult Christmas Comedy

This December join the Winthrop Playmakers as they present a unique comedy for the season- THE EIGHT: Reindeer Monologues, by Jeff Goode.  Please note this show is not intended for children.

Described by the Los Angeles Times as “wickedly funny for those who can drop their defenses,” THE EIGHT is a dark Christmas comedy. Scandal erupts at the North Pole when one of Santa's eight tiny reindeer accuses him of sexual harassment. As mass media descends upon the event, the other members of the sleigh team demand to share their perspectives, and a horrific tale of corruption and perversion emerges, which seems to implicate everyone from the littlest elf to the tainted Saint himself. With each deer's confession, the truth behind the shocking allegations becomes clearer and clearer...and murkier and murkier.

THE EIGHT is directed by Nathan Fogg, with a cast featuring Brian Dion, Christopher Hagberg, Katie Higgins, Bobby Imperato, Anthony Internicola, Katie Moore, Laura Scherf, and Ken Vining.  Performances are December 6 and 7 at 8:00PM, and December 8 at 3:00PM.  Tickets are $15, and can be purchased by visiting our website www.winthropplaymakers.com or by calling 617-539-1175.
