The Winthrop Police Department Explorer Post is a co-curricular organization that is sponsored, organized, chartered and administered by the Winthrop Police Department and Learning For Life. It has been established to provide young adults (14-21) who have an interest in law enforcement, a program that gives them an opportunity to learn about a possible career as a law enforcement officer. Exploring also opens a doorway to a future in the FBI, CIA, and many other organizations. The program provides unique classroom and hands-on training in law enforcement.
