Helpful Hints - FY10 Resident Permit
Town of Winthrop
Effective July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010 (or June 30, 2011)

PARKING PERMIT PROGRAM HINTS


For Motor Vehicles - Resident Permits

YES - Put your new permit on your vehicle immediately after receiving, in the proper location.  
Inside - Front Windshield, Left bottom corner (while sitting in your drivers' seat)

YES - It's okay to take off/remove the blue permit from this year, expiring June 30, 2009, as long as your new

purple (1-year) permit for FY10 (effective July 1, 09 through June 30, 2010)
or
FY2011_permit.jpg
orange (2-year) permit for FY10 through FY11 (effective July 1, 09 through June 30, 2011)
is displayed properly.

YES - You may get a parking ticket if the permit is place in the wrong location or not adhered to the window
(please remove white backing and stick to window - cannot use tape or any other method of adhering to window)

YES - Remove all old, expired resident parking permits from prior years.

For Motor Vehicles - Visitor Placards

Visitor placards are used by non-residents visiting Winthrop.
Visitor placards are to be displayed in motor vehicles -
Inside - Left bottom corner of dashboard (while sitting in your driver's seat)

For Motorcycles - Resident Permits

Motorcycles must have the permits also displayed properly.  
If there is no windshield to your motorcycle, put the purple or orange
permit on the bike in-between the handlebars on the steering column.  

For Motorcycles - Visitor Placards

Visitor placards are used by non-residents visiting Winthrop.
Visitor placards can be put through Front Tire Spokes.


OTHER

Visitor Placards are NOT replaced if lost.

We highly suggest hanging your visitor placard on your refrigerator.
When visitors come they also will see it on your fridge and remember to put it in their vehicles.
