As explained in the most recent notification posted last week, we are in the final phase of the Contract 5 Infrastructure Project which includes street and sidewalk restoration. As previously notified, full pavement reclamation and grading will occur on Underhill Street, Pearl Avenue, Hadassah Way, Hutchinson Street, Taylor Street, Central Street, South Main Street, and Winthrop Street (between Main and Bank Streets) on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week (June 13-15th)
JP Cardillo is now notifying all residents and business owners that the installation of the asphalt binder will follow immediately from Friday, June 15th through Tuesday, June 19th (No work will occur over the weekend). Sidewalk and curb work will resume after the binder application. When all roadways are completed, all affected areas will be scheduled for final pavement which will represent the end of the project. All listed areas have been posted for “NO PARKING FROM 8AM TO 4PM” on June 13th through June 15th for the reclamation and grading work, and from June 15th through June 19th for the binder application as these streets will be inaccessible during this work. We will continue to notify individual streets of periodic parking restrictions as sidewalk and curb work is completed prior to final pavement. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. Please plan accordingly so that you do not get blocked in during this work that will occur between June 13th and June 19th. Detail officers will be present at all work zones to ensure pedestrian safety and access by foot to all homes and businesses, but again vehicular access will be restricted from 8AM to 4PM during these days.
