Due to expected snowfall, a Parking Ban will be in effect on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 10:00 PM, and will remain in effect until further notice.
All Town Offices will be closed on Tuesday, March 13, 2018.
Additionally, there will be no trash collection on Tuesday, March 13, 2018. Trash collection will resume on Wednesday, March 14, and all routes will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week (Tuesday route will be picked up on Wednesday, Wednesday route on Thursday, etc.). Trash collection will begin at 6:00 AM for the remainder of the week to allow more time to complete routes due to narrowed roadways.
Per town ordinance, vehicles must be removed from all but the designated, accepted streets and lots. For the complete language of the Winter Parking ordinance, please click here. Please note, on November 1, 2016, the Town Council voted to make minor changes to the Winter Parking ordinance. Those changes are:
- The Winter Parking ordinance is now in effect from November 15 to May 1.
- Parking on Siren Street during a parking ban is now only allowed on the ODD NUMBERED SIDE OF THE STREET FROM THE EASTERLY PROPERTY LINE OF 19 SIREN ST. TO TRITON AVENUE.
- Parking on Waldemar Avenue during a parking ban is now only allowed on the ODD NUMBERED SIDE OF THE STREET FROM WHEELOCK STREET TO PLEASANT STREET.

Failure to move your vehicle to an accepted area may result in a $40 parking ticket, and your vehicle may be towed at the owner's expense. Please comply with the parking ban so the DPW can clear the roads.

The width of the area to be cleared shall be thirty-six (36) inches and suitable for passage of a wheelchair.
